Cyber security & IT manager

We're looking for a hands-on cyber security and IT manager to build and own the entire cyber security function at Masterschool from the ground up. As our sole owner of cyber security, you'll join our IT team and set the standard the whole company operates by — in an environment where AI is part of every workflow we're trying to secure.

What you'll do

• Build and own Masterschool's cyber security posture end-to-end — policies, tools, processes, and culture
• Identify, assess, and mitigate security risks across our infrastructure, products, and data
• Define security guardrails for our AI agents and agentic workflows — addressing risks like prompt injection, data leakage through LLMs, and autonomous actions with elevated permissions
• Establish security policies and standards across the organization
• Monitor, detect, and respond to security incidents and threats
• Conduct security reviews and audits across systems, code, and third-party vendors
• Partner closely with R&D and operations to embed security into every layer of the business
• Support IT infrastructure — endpoints, networks, SaaS applications, and identity & access management

What we're looking for

• 1–3 years of hands-on cyber security experience
• Solid understanding of network security, cloud security, and endpoint protection
• Comfort administering SaaS tools (Google Workspace, identity providers, MDM)
• Familiarity with security frameworks and basic compliance requirements
• Self-starter — you identify gaps, prioritize, and act without waiting to be told
• AI-native mindset: genuine interest in AI/agent security and hands-on exposure to LLM security — an advantage
